Unhabituated Silverback

R₣18,000,000Price
  • This picture is very special because it was captured after our founder hiked over nine hours through the Impenatrable Forest in Uganda to find this family of unahabituated gorillas. This particular silverback charged her, but she did not move as she made throat sounds to let him know she was no harm. He calmed down and sat in front of her and that's when she snapped the picture. He then invited her into the family and two mother gorillas came out of the trees and nursed their babies next to her. After thirteen gorilla treks to date, the gorillas come to her and touch her every time. This is why Silverbacks was created.

All photography was shot by the Silverbacks founder, Tami Loehrs. Proceeds from photography sales goes to wildlife preservation in Rwanda. 90cm x 90cm.
